Shri Sinha has earlier served the Ministry of Industry of Government of India, dealing with foreign industrial collaborations, technology imports, intellectual property rights and industrial approvals.

Shri Yashwant Sinha, the current member of the Rajya Sabha has kindly consented to be the Honorary Chairman of the Institute.

Shri Sinha's illustrious career took off in 1960 when he joined the Indian Administrative Service. Since then he has spent over 46 years holding various important posts. He served as Sub-Divisional Magistrate and District Magistrate for 4 years; was Under Secretary and Deputy Secretary in the Finance Department of the Bihar Government for 2 years after which he serverd the Ministry of Commerce, Government of India as Deputy Secretary. On 1971, Shri Yashwant Sinha was appointedthe First Secretary (Commercial) at the Indian Embassy in Germany. Afterward, he worked as the Consul General of India in Frankfurt from 1973 to 1974.
